what a way for a thread to go downhill.who the fuck cares what it looks like.if it gets the car on the road quicker and does the numbers then thats the main thing rather than us lot to stand at a show and go "ooh aaa" at the engine bay.

Anybody that knows andy knows that his cars always look the bawz inside and out ! aswell as his workshop etc,so i am sure andy will make it look as good as poss, in the time he has, but at the end of the day its a race car not a show car ,and i am sure it will do the job , or he wouldnt of bought it.as for price who gives a fuck he will of paid what he thought its worth . its not coming out our pocket! am sure he would rather be in 1st pl. way an ugly engine ,over looks!!! its like a bunch of woman bitching !!

From: In the unit, building a 450bhp Time Attack Focus!
My personal take on it - when the car is flying round a track, the bonnet is down and you can't see the engine...
And looking at the power figures, all most people will be seeing is Andy going past them!
Look forward to the Time Attack results soon

Looking at the power figure, the spread of torque is fucking great, looks like a VERY long useable power band!!
Think this is going to be a phenomenal combination myself, get one of the boys in the shop to polish the intake with some Autosol and then do this to the rest of the wankers on here
What gearbox are you running now Andy?

yip you can even put it in auto mode just set rpm for down shift and up shift..thou you still click paddle for down shift but it wont change down till the rpm has dropped below the set value,, so going up the straight coming to a hairpin you can click down say 4 gears the it will only change down when the rpm has dropped,, and it blips the throttle for you!!

Fuckin' ell, 5 pages of bullshit because the engine doesn't have any chrome or powdercoating, half the users on here obviously need to piss off to the concours section.
If it does the business, then its money well spent, end of!

The presentation looks very similar to my mate jt's drag racing probe with
a jg engine in it and that runs sevens with 900bhp, no gas.
And from what he has spent over the years with jg, I would say 45k is a
very conservative estimate
I think it looks the nuts mate, I love inventive engineering

Now i can't stand people that spend a fotune "dressing up" their engine bays but i can see the point that some people are trying to make.
If i was buying a very expensive fresh built engine i would expect to see someone who has that level of perfection in his engineering carry it through in their prep and cleanlyness of exterior engine componenets.
I've seen pro (bike) engine builders who would never allow even the rusty fastners on the front of that engine to even enter their clean room for engine building.
That is an interesting looking inlet. The critical bit that you can't see is how all those joints and surface changes are finished on the inside. I can tell you that it was TIG welded by someone that i would class as average rather than someone who fabricates moto gp frames everyday. The welds round the injector bosses are a little cold.
