fao anyone who uses nimh or nicd
I have just bought a technoline BC900 intelligent charger.
I did a experiment with some old nimh rated at 2600mah, but were only putting out on average 400mah, I then did a discharge refresh cycle on them and they are now averaging around 2400mah, these ones were less than a year old, ansmann, charged via the ansmann charger, I left them on overnight and when used next day from the ansmann charger they took two shots then were dead!!
Best charger I have ever used, so if you use lots of nimh or nicd batteries this could be just what you need, around £27.99 all in delivered 1st class post.
This is for the charger only, but called a BL700, essentially the same charger that is used in the BC900 pack, but with slightly less max charge current of 700mah as opposed to 1000mah when charging four at a time.
I got mine from www.BatteryLogic.co.uk
It even revived my old sanyo cadnica from 1982, still not very good but three times as good as they were.
After charging the batteries can be left in the charger and switched on as it goes into trickle mode, so always ready to go.
Due to only holding four at a time I will need to get another one, they do AA and AAA batteries, in NIMH or NICD.
Best thing for me it is has made my LED torches a LOT brighter, so going to treat myself to a ssc p7 bin c now(led).

Yes on the BL700 charger the power supply and plug are one unit, but the plug part is just a slide on part, so you can no doubt get any other countries plug slide on bit.
The BL700 is the charger on it's own, I got the BC900, which is a pack that contains 4 x nimh batteries 2600mah, a nice red bag with strap, the AA to C and D size convertors(4 off each).
The charger with the BC900 pack is very slightly different, in that instead of a limit of 1000ma charge rate, it can if you only put two batteries in charge at 1500 or 1800ma.
The default setting on both is 200ma charge rate, but also can select 500, 700, 1000ma, on both chargers too.
I have a set of 4 AAA 900mah(rarely what they are supposed to be!!) batteries in there at the mo, a straight 1000ma charge gave 61/59/62/107 mah, now after discharge and recharge they are respectively 570/367/479/587 mah, they are now on a discharge/refresh cycle, but this takes a long time as it is charge discharge up to 20 times, or until no further improvement.
As can be seen above though the improvement is 509mah/308mah/417mah/480mah, and this is without the conditioning(discharge/refresh) cycle!!
