ill need to remember that excuse next time i get stopped. "but officer 100mph isnt really that fast now is it? at least i wasnt doing 150"
im no bike expert but im sure 100mph is plenty fast if something goes wrong. im sure everyone thinks theyre the most responsible and safe driver out there but then no one plans to crash now do they?

I think it depends on the child tbh. I have a 10 year old son who isn't mega into bikes and i dont think would get the concept of how to sit on a bike. You're 12 year old races mini moto's so at least knows about leaning and going fast on 2 wheels. I *think* he'd be fine.

Usually with a pillion i'm very conscious of how i ride and i'd assume granda is too. It's hard not to be.

Keep them both in check and it'll be fine.

i would have hated it if my mam tried to stop me getting on bikes at 12. ive been around them most of my life. trust his granda he wont put him in danger im certain of that.

at kai's age i used to ride pillion with my dad at these speeds & more. we used to have a contact set up were he would tap my knee just befor he nailed it & i would tap left ribs if somthing wrong. we never used the baby strap as i never felt comfortable with it, i used to use the o/s grab handle & left arm round him.

100mph isnt fast at all on a bike though hayabusa or not. my dad & i were in irland at the nw200 a few years ago, we ride round the track befor the race started & we reached 170 odd mph 2 up while following a racer (ryan farqua). i felt just as safe at that speed as i did doing 70+. as long as he has the right gear he'l be arite =)
