Default can someone give me a spec of a btcc rs500 engine?

ie what pistons,rods,crank and who done the headwork?

what engine managment they use etc?

I "think" the engine managment commonly used was either Bosch (as with the Eggenberger cars) or the cheaper Zytek management that Andy Rouse used.

good reading guys. been toying with idea of building a rs500 touring car spec engine as close as possible over the next year.

cant be that much more than building my engine ive just done.
i have the head really now on this engine. what pistons are used in the btcc engines?

I'd possibly think that there are far better engine specs these days than a 80's spec 500 engine.

High comp, roller bearing turbos etc are going to give it a massive advantage over the old stuff, BTCC cars weren't just fast because they had a proper engine, they were fast becuase they had all the right bits on the car and a very good driver.

You can't get much better than a proper works built car and they are nothing like half of the stuff we bolt together in our garages even if we feel we have spent a lot.
