discovery channel (chop shop)
i was sat on the comp bored in december watching crap on sky
thought i would look on the chop shop site as i was watching it
there was a gallery for viewers cars so as i was bored i thought i would stick some picks of the nail on it
thought nothing more of it till i got an email last friday off one of the descovery chanals web team
un know to me there was a comp running along side the gallery pics for a sony handy cam & i had won it lol
they wanted to know some info so they could send it out i was a bit sceptical but replyed to the email
it came yesterday but i was out so i will be picking it up from the post office tomorrow morn

Chopshop is a bloody joke!!!!
They havent got a god damn clue.
They were transplanting a 2.0 zetec from a mondeo into a fiesta.....something done 1,000,000 times already....so how do they do it? They use the whole front end of the mondy instead of fabricating an engine mount and swapping the flywheel and a few other bits over.... they had to mess about with steering linkages etc.. and I bet the thing handled like a tank with modeo spec front suspension.
Bodging crap if you ask me...I'd be ashamed to be seen in any of their cars, or near one for that matter.
The celebrities must just use their show for exposure and scrap the cars afterwards as theyre just piles of cack!

lol dan you dont realise how many times people i know said that when the episode aired ,
but you have to realise mate ,
not eveyone knows the ins and outs of a zvh conversion ,

i dont like the mechanichal side of the show but some of the contraptions do look good when you think how the boy is done
must be a lot more dont to them than it shows on the show
that fiesta one had the wheels ponting all over the place before it went to paint then they looked right after paint as iff they had put the pannels on a car that had just had the bits done right

Shows how much research they put into what they're doing....bugger all.
I suppose swapping a flywheel and making an engine mount isnt as good tv as chucking the whole front end in maybe?
Fucking cowboys though, no denying that!
