colored Ford badges

remember when people used to have Red, Black, Union Jack etc. coloured badges on their cars?

How was it done?

just as simple as stripping the paint off the back and respraying it or does all the chrome stuff need to be re-done also?

I remember doing it years ago, i just wet flatted the rear of the badge then painted it, looked ace too

yeah mine are doen Radiant Red looks great with just the chrome

When I had my Focus'es, I painted my FORD badges. Left the chrome surround and painted the centres Moondust Silver & Aquafrost (the colours of my cars).

The only pic I can find is this.
