My mum had a bottle full of £2 coins. Then bought me a tag watch for my 21st
She had to fill it twice mind, but ended up £2 short of £1600 so i stumped the last £2

My money bottle has been raided more times than the Royal Mail trains, by both of my kids and my bloody wife.
Any 20p's and they go quicker than a Braun Mercedes with a dodgy rear defuser!!

I've got a bottle, and that's about it. Actually I have a telephone box money box and put anything from 20p upwards in it. It soon adds up and you don't really miss it.

Haha won't even show you mine - it's a half terrys cholocate orange plastic bottle - I think I've emptied it once in 5 years.

I don't tend to put much change in it, I can always easy use up 5p, 10p and 20p's at the shop near work.

Guy at my work does indian deliveries and he has thousands in his jar every so often, I've never seen him work with anything less than a fiver so all coins must go in his jar.

ill agree with that,,, though i dont get to bloody see it as its used as a work travel fund/kids crappy magazines fund

though i do have a nice habit of finding 20 pound notes in jeans im about to lob in the bin,, that and fivers in my wallet as i always put the fivers back in then forget about em and visit a cash point and draw out more money,,, spend it and if theres a fiver pop it back in there again to find another

also once found 500 quid in a cupboard a few years ago,, it was from when i bought my cossie i had 500 quid too much so left it in there and due to having a cossie forgot all about it, that as another nice find

So in a round about way, you are withdrawing money out of your bank and putting it in a bottle?

No idea what's in mine - rarely empty it but I only usually put 10p's and below in there so it looks alot but in the monetary sense I usually get between £75 and £100 from it.

Where can I get a coin counting machine please... I reckon I have near on 500 pounds but no chance of me counting all that.

Preferbly a cheap one as it defeats the point of not counting it. Hoping to use it to go to the ring in a month or two.
