Default Uprated gearbox mounts

Have a vibratechnics on the escos at the mo, it's very noisy on the overrun. I put a standard one on it (looked in good nick) but the box moved all over the place on and off the power.

Anyone used one of these??

I believe this company have renamed from deflex I think, IIRC they didn't have a very good rep?

Might give one a try - want to make the car quieter inside. Had the gearbox rebuilt a while ago, but even then I could still hear and feel a vibration on the overrun. Must be something to do with the transfer box. Had the chain shortened for the 3.9 conv, it wasn't new so maybe it's that's still too loose.

If it works, I might change the engine mounts too.

Kev, what engine mounts are you using ?....

If they are standard then that`s your problem, fit some proper mounts and you will not need the gearbox mount at all, and the mounts aren`t too noisy either and you won`t be snapping any front shafts

Rob, full vibratechnics set mate. Tried a standard gearbox mount and it juddered about badly on pulling away. It could always have been a shit one - looked ok though.

Weird

I`m running collins mounts and a standard gearbox mount and it`s mint, barely any movement at all......
