Default 4x4 clutch same as 2wd cosworth

as above ive bought a 4wd engine {cosworth} and its got a 4x4 alcon 6 paddle ,can i use it on my 2wd escort mk 2 conversion? ive been told the only diffrence is the brelease bearing????? ive done loads of searches ,and cant find a defo answer ,for all the smart arsesi need to be 100% on this before i buy

A mate of mine has just bought a clutch for his 2wd saph which turned out to be for a 4wd. Only difference I could see was the release bearing.

Fitted it and it all seems good so far!

they are the same size, but other than the release bearing being for the differnt gearboxes, they should be the same
