Default KA airbag light

Hi guys, I changed the steering wheel on my girlfreinds KA yesterday and used the old airbag but now the airbag light has come on, the only bit that was actually changed on the airbag side of it was the wiring on the steering wheel, any ideas why and how is the best way of getting it to go off without taking the bulb out ?

Did you disconnect the battery before you changed it? I'd think you'd need to go to a garage and have it reset.

you dont need to have the battry disconected on cars now
its only the first air bags that had there own control unit that were a pain
if the ignition is off then you wont have any issuses

sounds like you let the rotory switch turn when the wheel was off causing it to snap the wire on full lock

glad you sorted it
