I can't believe some people are suggesting expensive plasmas to display RR graphs on a workshop wall!

Just find a cheap, big LCD, even dead pixels wont really matter for the application so you may be best with a second hand older model. Don't worry about 1080p etc, just get the cheapest one in the size you want. Possibly try eBay?

Edited to add Richer sounds were selling some nice thin Hitatchi 32" LCDs (UT32MH70) for £299 last week if they still have any left, although I think you could probably get a bit bigger for the same money shopping around.

Here are the clearance offers at the Birmingham richer sounds: http://www.richersounds.com/clearanc...d=23&region=05

This is where you will find the cheaper tv's that people don't want for their lounge any more (not 1080p or are too slow etc) but will be perfect for what you need.

I can't believe someone explained about filling up HDMI and av and scart ports on the tv, and explaining about having 5.1 speakers LMAO!!!!!!!!!

5.1speakers are gonna be useless when a 3-500bhp cossie is sat on the rollers! LOL

As above get a Basic LCD tv without all the added luxuries.

From my experience with projectors (only at work really) but you have to dim the lights and close the blinds to see it clearly, which wouldn't be an option in a workshop!

I would rather want you to have a look at LCD TV ratings. You might find the expert reviews helpful when making your decision. They have some pretty nice selections over there.

Good luck.

I'd go for LCD based on your application.. Plasma screens can suffer screen burn if the same image is left on a lot.. and it sounds like at least some parts of what you're displaying will be a constant and hence may damage teh telly over time!

Just buy the cheapest shittiest LCD on ebay or wherever, it'll be more than adequate for a workshop!

Also, Samsung are good. Used to display all the gaming consoles in the shops.

that's fine if that's what you need martin

all of them are wall mountable, just make sure that the fixings in the back of the telly are the right ones to go with the bracket though as some of them are just hanging and some are securly locked into place
