if you get thin frames and thins stems they are hardly notiacble to your eyes

big thick stems also restrict your vision

get what you think is sensible rather than what you think other peole will like to see you wearing

(and having worn grallses for the past 30 odd years, from the nhs ones right up to the hugo boss ones, timberland ones and my current namless pair, they are all there to make your eyes work better, not to clutter up your face

Good advice

Ill agree too, but there is some out there that will both work well with you AND suit you.
As above try and get ones with thin frames, people wont even notice you have any on from a distance.

When I was a kid I used to have a phobia of people who wore glasses!

Whenever Police 5 came on the TV I used to scream my head off at Shaw Taylor. And I refused to go in a local shop 'cos the bloke in there had thick rimmed glasses on.

Had glasses all my adult life. Always hated them, gave me massive confidence problems.

I moved to 30 day contacts about 5 years ago. Life changing for me.

I wear glasses and have done since 97. I got them when i couldnt read the blackboard in uni

Gradually i had to wear them to drive, watch tv etc etc. My eyes are definitely getting worse and i'm not helping them because i haven't had an eyetest for 4 years!

I wear glasses, have done since I was 5.

Me and smit have the same pair of Bench frames

I've got 4 different pairs so that I can accessorise with different outfits!

But if I go out I tend to wear contacts.

By the sounds of it if you only ha e to wear em for driving, they shouldn't bother you too much!

Haha... once you've had the laser thing done, is it done?? Or are you likely to need treatment every few years as your sight deteriorates again??

I too have worn glasses since I was about 5, and whilst sometimes they can be a bit inconvenient (for example, when it rains you're constantly drying them, when it's really sunny you can't just chuck on a nice pair of Oakley's etc) I must admit I don't worry too much about what I look like in them or the fact I have to wear them. Maybe cos I got them so young, I dunno. They just don't really bother me.... I'm sure the ones I have aren't the most stylish or "trendy", nor are they tiny either, but they are light, I barely notice they are on, and allow me see okay, so works for me

I did try contacts and didn't get on with them, so stuck with the bins....

It's effectively like having new eyes again and over time the might or might not deteriorate!

I did think about getting the laser thing done but the thought of having a laser in my eyeballs scares the fuck out of me!!

Imagine it being like something in a Bond movie!! Lol!

im ment to wear glasses,, though its cause my eyes are affected by bright light rather than i have terrible eyes though i do have a .25 in one eye and .75 in the other wrong

ironically my eyes seem to have gotten better over time rather than worse as when i got my eyes tested i couldnt read road signs on motorways,, though i still cant a line of IIIII and tell you how many there are,,, which means that plates with Glll ARB i cant tell if its 2 ll or 3 lll's if that makes sence
