you have to change the sump etc for a 1.6 or 1.8 fiesta or escort sump etc.

you can retain your existing gearbox etc and use the flywheel and clutch off a 1.6 or 1.8 fiesta / escort.

you can modify the existing engine mount but it is better to redrill the hole where the mount goes into the inner wing (just under the washer bottle inside engine bay not into wheel arch) as the CVH and zetec mounting points are slightly different and saves having to modify and weld a mount.

is an easy swap if you have all of the right bits and are mechanically compitant.

i know the sump has to be off a 1.6/1.8 zetec

but i can still use the clutch, flywheel and gearbox off my 1.6 cvh?or will i need them from the zetec?

and what about the drive shafts?

can use the cltch and flywheel off the 1.6 but the holes for the crank bolts in the flywheel will have to be opened out to accept the larger zetec crank bolts.

driveshafts will be fine with 1.6 cvh ones

Do you not have to change the water pump to a 1.8 one cause the 2.0 run backwards dont they.

a blacktop is easy to fit and you dont need to change the sump for a poxy 1.6 or 1.8 one there not as good as the 2.0l blacktop sump.

and the blacktop water pump is also fine .
