I want it to start on the 1st of april but keeps coming up to start on 1st of march and can't change it how do you do it or do i need tov phone the inbreds direct ?

do it by phone if you have the reminder, takes about two minutes, did mine yesterday - well, let the misses do it.

its cos our cars are SORN'd so trying to tax it from begining of this month. when i want it for next month!

Then you need to do it a few days before 1st April.
Tax discs don't have a start date, so you can't set it in the future.

Yes as far as I'm aware you can't forward date a tax disc as everyone would be able to scam the system, you'd end up paying for 12 months tax, but it being effective for 13 months, as it's only the expiry date thats taken into account.
Thats why you should never tax a car near the end of a month as you'll lose out!

You cant get a tax disc for April 1st if it's not already taxed, that would mean you get 5 days for free.

You can only apply before if it already has tax on it.
