You can get better than low 8s with the SU carb....
You need someone really good with SUs to set that up!!

ALex its mainly to get the AFR right up top, obviously we are running two carbs, and 20+ psi, its off throttle where the afrs dive, but we said leave it at that as we will get more power when we change turbo and Ignition system, and to be honesty it spends 90% of its time between 3500rpm and Limiter
The guy we use is good though, think it will be new engine this year at some stage

The same old cars will be out this year again for my little crew with a few winter changes to most of them...
And hopefully this will be finished this year..Its a old thundersaloon.
..Will be running a small block V8 ..

You should be able to get them closer than that though....

Sounds a decent spec what sort of power does it make 155/160?
Im looking to try an get quite a few track days in this year money permitting hopefully cya at one of them , would give me something to attempt to keep up with lol........

And the 3dr Cosworth (currently at NMS getting rose jointed suspension fitted and set up,Then getting water injection fitted before the next track outing) And now running Compomotives ready for bigger brakes.

330mm AP's could be over kill brake wise though. Do you have much fade? MUCHO cheaper calipers and options out there mate.

well my idea was to get the scoobie ready for the track this year, got the harnesses, seats, all rose jointed/poly bushed suspension, coilovers and much much thicker roll bars, 3 sets of wheels with seperate track tyres blah blah blah,,, then it snowed for a day
though its currently looking like this, and has for the last 7 weeks
the guy whos doing it comes back from america on saturday so hope we see some progress pmsl
