You can get better than low 8s with the SU carb....

You need someone really good with SUs to set that up!!

ALex its mainly to get the AFR right up top, obviously we are running two carbs, and 20+ psi, its off throttle where the afrs dive, but we said leave it at that as we will get more power when we change turbo and Ignition system, and to be honesty it spends 90% of its time between 3500rpm and Limiter

The guy we use is good though, think it will be new engine this year at some stage

Cool car. VERY well driven as well

You mix it up with cars FAR FAR slower in a straight line in that Neeesan!

I seem to do the opposite in the Westy

talking of the Westy. You should have a go of it next time we are at track together. Properly goes now at 2.2bar boost!

330mm AP's could be over kill brake wise though. Do you have much fade? MUCHO cheaper calipers and options out there mate.

well my idea was to get the scoobie ready for the track this year, got the harnesses, seats, all rose jointed/poly bushed suspension, coilovers and much much thicker roll bars, 3 sets of wheels with seperate track tyres blah blah blah,,, then it snowed for a day

though its currently looking like this, and has for the last 7 weeks

the guy whos doing it comes back from america on saturday so hope we see some progress pmsl
