Ford Dedication, can anyone match Charlie?
Tomorrow Charlie Luciano off of here is flying to Spain to collect a chassis leg for his saphire cosworth and is bringing it back home again on the plane as excess baggage because its the only new one he can find anywhere left in the world, and they wont post it.
Anyone else on here that dedicated / stupid / obsessed / etc ?
Proper legend IMHO!

wouldn't be me doing that for an old sierra,
i'd just reshell or get another,
but everyone to their own, i just dont get that attached to a lump of rusty metal

that was the first thing that came to my mind
secondly, it's just the sort of thing i'd do, i remember going to hull to collect a second hand printer years ago and saved myself about a tenner on the totaly price of the trip on a brand new one

then in my opinion
he realy deserves to get a perfect mint 1 if he's going to all that trouble
i'm sure you can still get brand new saph shells if you knowwhere to look
would this not be a better idea?
or is the rest of the saph mint?
just the 1 bad bit maybe
eithere way, as i said each to their own

i always thought andrew gallacher was hardcore
with his last minute trips thru the night down to harveys to get an engine
for his race the next day
or when he would change a turbo in the pitlane at knockhill with his old saph
or change a gearbox at crail
but charlie defo is going 1 further here
as record breakers used to say "thats dedication for you"

i once saw damien mulvely(sp) the irish drifter turn his s13 on its side in the pits to change the gearbox in between runs. took about 20 mins with four of them at it.
its fairly irrelavant to this thread but it is dedication to the cause

when keith robinson built his nova he paid for new doors (£500) from Germany and they arrived with rippled skins. He got another set sent over (paid for again) and they were the same.
In the end he drove from ROI to Germany, collected them, dropped them with ade culley in england and returned to ireland, and then when they were sprayed drove back over to collect them.
