I've got one of those in my room on camp (think studio flat) and it does get chuffing noisy at night, especially as I've had mine a few years now. My missus complains like mad about it!

They use a thermoelectric peltier unit to cool them down, which needs a fan to cool the hot side of the heatsink at the back (most minifridges) if you stuck on a bigger fan wired to 7 volts instead of 12 then it would run the same temp and be quieter

kick the missus out of bed to go get you a drink from the fridge in the kitchen. you don't have a dog to bark yourself do you?

Got any pics or further information on this?

In the process of buying a house and if I can make my fridge quiet so that I can keep it in the house as a beer fridge I'll be well happy!
