SELF INFLICTED. He was a steroid freak. He left the WWE once they were doing the steroid tests after benoit died cos he knew he'd test positive and then went to TNA.

Not being bad but he was a shit wrestler anyway!!!

But on the upside, WWE are doing the Macho Man DVD. oooooooooooo yeeeeaaaahhhhhh

he may have been a shit wrestler, but you have to feel sorry for him having triple h steal his legitimate bride to be in stephanie and elevate him to the stratosphere

and since when have vince and savage made up?

this seems to tell a much more normal "hatred" type story between the 2

if vince can spunk $100,000,000 of his own personally money on the xfl, i don't think he' needs the money

and if the romours that randy and stephanie were somewhat "entangled" then vince is going to be even more pissed than he normally is, and vince doesn't like to lose face, no matter what

They Started a Macho Man DVD years ago and then Vince had it scrapped. So what made him change his mind we'll never know. But Respect to Randy Savage for Shagging Stephanie at 18 LMAO

Yeah it is scripted but you try pull of those moves without injury to yourself or the other guy. Its like Bret Hart said, there is a art to wrestling and most people won't understand that. Bret wrestled almost 20 years and didn't injure a single wrestler in his career.

Most of todays wrestlers can't get out of the ring without being injured by a wrestling move that hasn't been done to perfection.

You obviously have no idea about Vince and the Macho Man, do you?

Macho Man shagged Vince's daughter Stephanie in Real Life when she was 18 which is why Macho Man never returned to the WWE because Vince was Pissed at him.

because if you tell them it's "scripted" you don't pay as much tax for your "entertainment" as you would if you were a "real life sports industry"

vince, never one to miss a trick when it comes to earning an extra $, went beofre the judge when he was testifying at the steriod trial and said so, therefore opening up the whole business to the rest of the world's scrutiny

and when you have a $billion industry such as wrestling, if you can save yourself 10% of your turnover but not having to pay tax, i'd take that in a heartbeat

chip: because you know that, somewhere deep down, you are intrested in wrestling related threads

cheeky: i shall keep an eye out for your motor

also, randy poffo boinking the bosses daughter is a "real life" romour and the only one that makes sense, if you click the link and read the 3 pages worth of info in it, you will see that even with someone like bret (when they first met after all those years, vince had sharp shooters in the trees of the park just in case bret was looking like giving vince a kicking ) and you realise that vince is the worst sort of boss you can have because he "owns" you outright

even though the wrestlers are technically self employed, they get their money based on a small contract for a certain length of time and the big money comes 3 months in arrears when the royalties start rolling in from gate recipt %'s and merchandising sales

which is great if you own the brand copywrite, but vince owns everyones name (other than a select few, ultimate woyah was jim helwig's persona and now his real life real name, hulk hogan as marvel own the rights to the hulk name) so once you leave vince, you lose the name and everyting associated with it

which is why, when the chips are down, everyone come back to vince to make up

you can not seriously believe this statement
Your taxed on what you earn not what job you do, or what industry you are in otherwise you would have the likes of Beckham saying they are models not sportsmen to pay less tax.

As of June 2001, the income tax forms the bulk of taxes collected by the U.S. government depending on individual income the tax ranges from zero to 35% of one's taxable income.
The income tax is considered a progressive tax because the tax rate is higher as a percentage of the income for higher-income individuals.

wrestling was deregulated in march 1997 and deemed to be exempt from the higher rate of tax, as per the state athletic commission of new jersey after vince said that wrestling was "an activity in which participants struggle hand in hand primarily for the purpose of providing entertainment to the spectators rather than conducting a bona fide athletic contest"

is there anything wrong with enjoying something that you watch on the telly?
no, so watch it if you wish to find out about it, because unless you are a seasoned viewer, it's one of those products that you just can't learn about by reading stuff in a book, you have to see events unfold in the ring and on scren etc

much the same way as youcouldn't write a book about eastenders and then thing everyone knew everything about it

Dojj, nothing wrong with watching it on the telly, and eastenders is a good parellel to draw, as I believe there are some poeple out there who believe that is real too, just like you in your little deluded fantasy about wrestling.

You arent doing anyone any harm, so Im not objecting to it, I just find it interesting as I am interested in mental health issues, and how different people percieve different things.

I watch it now and again purely as escapism, switch my brain off and enjoy!! I know its staged and scripted but understand that the stuff they do still requires them to be trained. I've watched wrestling from when i was a nipper used to watch the british stuff and have a load of autographed pics of Big daddy, haystacks etc... now that was entertainment.

All the lame stories and some of the new names are just laughable now though. Used to really enjoy the lessner(sp), stone cold, rock years

Oh of course, without any doubt he is delusional.
And like any delusion, he of course believes it and thinks that it is everyone else who doesnt understand.
Much like members of a cult, who think everyone else is mental cause they dont sit around rubbing custard into their testicles whilst masturbating and awaiting the return of their mesiah from the shops where he just went to buy some porn mags because god told him to or whatever.

they were the golden years and i think they overshadowed the late 90's and late 80's as being the best of all possible angles, there was wrestling to the next level, there was attitude, there was the sheer shock value of the storylines not seen since andre ripped hogans shirt and cross off for the build up to wrestlemania 3

sure bret was an exceptional wrestler, but he was a machine, whereas the likes of angle could play it up for the cameras and be funny/serious when the mood called for it, ffs he dresed up as a cowboy, complete with a little hat and ratings were as good as they had ever been

lately though, hhh has stagnated the whole brand and needs to step out of the limelight, but no, he's going to centre stage mania against orton, just what orton needs yes, but not what anyone else wants

there is a very simple explanation for this

there are a lot of wrestlers who, for some reason or another, work "stiff" which is where they don't pull their punches, they connect with most of their blows, they don't give a shit about the other guy who they are working with in the ring, bob holly (recently let go after 15 years with the wwf) and the team of bradshaw and faarooq were the peole that you had to wrestle when you'd been a naughty boy and vince wanted to make absolutly clear that you wern't to fuck about

a legalised form of giving you a shoeing if you like, but not as simple as a firing, it was designed to make everyone else backstage aware that you'd fucked up and were being punished for it

in the same way that you get people who can have a ruck and are "hard" and peole who can kick the shit out of you because they've got bendy legs

these are legitimate methods to keep people in line

then yu have accidental injuries inflicted by one guy on another, very famous ones being big show smashed open with a steel chair and knocked sparko, hhh going for a pedegree on kurt and the table collapsing giving kurt a consussion (he still finished the match) owen hart nearly breaking stone cold steve austins neck with a piledriver gone wrong, undertaker throwing mankind off the top of the steel cage and into an announce table (dislocating a shoulder, breaking a few ribs amongst other things) and kurt angle doing a moonsault and breaking bob hollys arm (all easily found by looking on youtube)

these are accepted risks and injuries that happen when thngs go wrong

bret's carrer was ended when bill goldberg kicked him in the head and gave him a concussion, he was medically unfit to wrestle again and has recently recovered from a stroke he had while riding his bike

bill goldberg lacked talent, and vast quantities of it, in the same way that if a telentless footballer ended the carrer of a world renowned footballer beause he's jumped in with a 2 footed challenge, wrestling is a 2 man operation, the guys taking the bumps need to be able to bump properly, and the guys who are administering the bumps, should be able to bump the other guy convincingly but without injuring them

it's a very very complex arrangement of things that is designed to give the viewer the thrill of osmething happening, but the players are always safe at all times ebcause they have the skills to work together well

and possibly not easily explanable over the internet

I love the way that one minute Dojj believes the truth, thats it just a bunch of scripted blokes pumped full of steriods having a little dance about in a ring, and the next minute he actually thinks they are wrestling each other competitively.

Its so funny that he cant see the cracks in his own delusion.

Anyone studying mental health, would find him a fascinating character.

ok, so give me examples of the above then where you think i'm thinking one thing then the other

when it comes to cars, i bow down to your greater wisdom seeing as you normally know what you are on about
same with computering type stuff

but you need to leave the wrestling to the experts

Dojj, when ive got a couple of days spare sometime, I will trawl back through all your posts on wrestling and point out specific examples to you of one moment you admitting its all scripted then the next minute taking it seriously etc.
