I watch it now and again purely as escapism, switch my brain off and enjoy!! I know its staged and scripted but understand that the stuff they do still requires them to be trained. I've watched wrestling from when i was a nipper used to watch the british stuff and have a load of autographed pics of Big daddy, haystacks etc... now that was entertainment.
All the lame stories and some of the new names are just laughable now though.

they were the golden years and i think they overshadowed the late 90's and late 80's as being the best of all possible angles, there was wrestling to the next level, there was attitude, there was the sheer shock value of the storylines not seen since andre ripped hogans shirt and cross off for the build up to wrestlemania 3
sure bret was an exceptional wrestler, but he was a machine, whereas the likes of angle could play it up for the cameras and be funny/serious when the mood called for it, ffs he dresed up as a cowboy, complete with a little hat
and ratings were as good as they had ever been
lately though, hhh has stagnated the whole brand and needs to step out of the limelight, but no, he's going to centre stage mania against orton, just what orton needs yes, but not what anyone else wants
