Default Re-using head bolts?

ive never liked re using head bolts when haynes and autodata both say they can only be re-used once as you never know what works been done to the car beforehand, for all you know the bolts could have already been used 6 times over.
would you use new bolts or hope the old ones were ok again?
car is a mates dads 1.1 saxo btw.

As above, no point if you do all the work, bolt it back togethere and they're fooked! Cheap to buy, why risk it?

most head bolts stretch so are not re-useable. IIRC the stud and nut kits are, but not the bolts!
