Not a cossie but having spoken at length to a man with a 205 turbo that has the turbo mounted where the rear exhaust box normally is, he said no difference, but could run decent boost without a huge intercooler, bit more pipework involved, but he said notices no lag extra at all, I was surprised, but figures back it up.

i think i saw this in practical performance magazine was quite a kool setup, meant that there was less heat at the engine bay and he didnt have to run an intercooler,
but anyway that cossie looks a beast!!!

That´s a greek 1200hp cossie on metanol, and yes metanol runs a LOT cooler so no need for ic on thoose short runs.
