Default Musicians and Guitar fans - The 'Unfinished Dream'

I like to think im a fairly good musician, can play a lot on guitar, have grade 3 piano (no that i can remember how to play some time ago) and have dabbeled in bass and drums.

Also have written a few of my own songs.

But this guy i am truly envious of, I guess with some of the equipment he has i could try something similar, buy id need a hell of a lot more experience to get to this level.

Now the song may not be to everyones taste, but the sheer fact this guy has compiled all this and then actually sat down and recorded it all is just mind blowing.

Im seriously thinking instead of buying another cossie to turn my workshop into a music room and do this sort of stuff!

so talented

Mate i do all that stuff in my living room with a MAC with logic on it, so does my mate.

This is one of my best mates, he plays all the instruments, arranges and writes the songs Plus sings them......

might not be to everyones taste but he is very talented.

i'm a keen amateur guitar player but didn't really like that. its impressive the way he can play it all so well, but it didn't like the song at all. just really not my thing. i've drifted off acuostic lately, gone more into this kind of thing.

I've got the TS-9 and use it to boost leads. so i can add abit of bollocks to the lead sound and have it cut through the rest of the band. I'm going to replace it with a modified Boss SD-1 from Foppstar.

If you can play the real guitar then guitar hero can actually be quite difficult if you know how to play the real song, as you move your fingers and position and strum at completly differently times to the real song.

Mate the only thing remotley similar to playgine a guitar is the rediculus shaped plastic thing which is shaped almost like a guitar.

Ive heard of people learning the nurenburg ring on the playstation, but to compare guitar hero to that, it would be like learning a welsh rally stage to practice the on donnington gp curcuit

SWEET. Give him a few more years and he'll put a few people to shame. 1 think i should stress is tell your mate to get his kid Music Theory Lessons if he hasn't already. It'll come in handy and he'll be able to visualize the fret board so he'll know his key changes, Scales and modes. + He'll be able to get alot of session work.
