Default 205 tyres on 8" rims ? your opinions ?

i fancy some 8" wide wheels, but i have 205 tyres

im not overly keen on the "stretched" look, dot mind a little bit but some people take it too far

do you think 205 is too stretched on 8" wide wheels ?

thanks jim

Too small IMO, 205 R888s looked stretched on 8"s never mind std road tyres.
Get 215s minimum, other wise what is the point of 8" rims ????

I've got 225s on 9's which are about the same stretch wise and they look 20mm 2 small. i.e. 10mm stretch each side.
On my other car i've got 225s on 6.5s!

They should be fine under hard cornering. My 205's are used for road rallying and autotesting and i've never had a problem and it does get badly abused!

they 195's above do actualy look ok
i think they usualy look mega unsafe stretched on escos rims
just goes to show that differant makes are differant, not all 205's actualy measure 205mm
so while some will look fine, others may be stretched

you two go well together, both need one of these

the tyres above are 205/45 on the escos rims
