Zetec into Mk2 escort
asking for a friend....
hes jsut bought a mint mk2 escort, 1.3L, shell is pretty solid, putting 2 sills on it over the next week or 2 then it'll be on the road.
he wants to know how difficult it is to put a 2.0 silvertop zetec motor in, would be running standard management, and just a filter and 4 branch.
also what gearbox is best to use and also what LSD diff too?
cheeeeers
Gaz

PassionFord Post Whore!!
You will need a few parts from Retro Ford (01536 747978) to sort this conversion out, water rail, sump, water pump conversion, alternator conversion, flywheel, clutch kit etc
105Speed do a nice 4 branch in stainless for this conversion
It would be better to put this on a pair of side draught carbs, 40's on an 1800 or 45's on a 2.0 as you will get a serious hike in power rather than having to mess about with getting the injection working, high pressure pump, filter, swirl pot, lift pump, fuel returns etc etc
Usually around 25 bhp on a 1800 and 30-35 on a 2.0 that is assuming its a 130 spec motor to start with
