Default police are deff on form these days!!

Was driving with the gf in her escort cab somewhere earlier and as im getting old now was actually driving sensibly and noticed something was going on with them today as drove past 2 cars and a bike parked up well, got onto a dual carridgeway and low and behold 1 of the cars followed onto there and pulled in behind me and knew they were gonna pull me, and they did!!! pulled up in a layby and get asked 'is this ur car' so i said no its the gfs and he said oh ok, then asked me to get in the back of the car, then preceeded to ask if i was insured to drive it and asked my cars reg number, put it into the pnc machine and as i had told them i was covered to drive it 3rd party so think i pissed on their fire a bit

Were sound to talk 2 thou and said i'd make her drive from now on and they said yea its the best way so u can drink and now worry bout it lol, asked why they actually pulled me and cos of the new camera's they have every car is flagged up as they pass and mine showed the owner /driver to be a woman and me being male gave them enough of a reason to tug me and check it i was allowed 2 drive it and had her permission too!!

Bit annoying to be pulled over but then i had nothing to hide so wasnt too worried, the mrs was worried shitless as she was sat in the car waiting while we were talking

Least it shows that cars are being checked alot more now, althou its scary that they have ALL ur details about ur car, tax, insurance, MOT etc accesible there and then!! Was shocked to see all the details of my policy come up on the screen in front of me

This type of post being very understanding of the Police doing their job will not stand on PassionFord. Please edit it to say how they were bastards and they slammed you into the car 10 times before stamping on your head.

Then you'll get 100 replies saying "Yeah, the fuckers"

I was stopped must be about 6 weeks back now, similar thing, but he was an arse, though have to say on the whole round here they are pretty good, especially the hobby bobbys, really sorted out the mindless crap on our estate just by being there.
Copper told me you don't come up as insured to drive this car(g/f car), I said how do you know he said it says "miss", so I said my sex change op was not complete yet, had a good laugh with him, but when radio'd in wasn't covered, thank god I was on mine, we are both with the same company and they had deleted me as a named driver on her policy, without my noticing, got put back on now though, so might pay to check carefully.
Like you say though, I am so glad they are at last catching the shits without insurance mot etc, top marks from me.

Well if ur driving a womans car 3rd party on ur policy and the police are doing check ups expect to be stopped anytime soon

Was more suprised as i wasnt actually doing anything wrong and the car is legal so couldnt figure out what i was stopped for!!

Ive been driving nearly 10yrs now and the only other time i've ever been stopped was about 4yrs ago and was pratting about in my cossie so deserved it

Rich you know i work for a respectable company and would never write such horrid things!!!

Why arent you a named driver on her policy ? if you are of similar ages and have a clean licence it costs very little to be added, in fact because my missus is a year older than me and has a clean licence it costs nothing for her to be on my cossie, just saves all this kind of aggro, so cops can spend the time nicking genuine insurance / tax / mot dodgers

Hopefully they might catch some people who dont have isurance and get some of the cars of the roads that dont have tax or mot on them.Ive been pullled a few times over the years.I had an XR3i at one point and they pulled me over just to make sure it was my car.

neil, it put my escos insurance down having tracey on it as they see it that you arent out and about all the time instead are likely to be at home being boring........oh hang on we are lol

tbh,ok it can be a pain for a few moments to get pulled but at least this way there is less chance of your car getting pinched and getting away

maybe its cause he dont wanna be on her policy,, seems pointless if hes already got " driving other cars" if the car aint worth anything tbh and theres other reason too im sure

THOUGH with that said,,, maybe getting the car in your birds name is a good idea as if someone nicks it theres more chance of them getting tugged

though tbh its just a reason to pull you over

i think its great that the police are starting to get access to al lthe info straight away as it means that it not only makes their jobs easier when it comes to possible car crime or untaxed / uninsured drivers making people less likely to do it and also the fact that if they see a young lad in you car they may think about pulling it to see it is actually you, which i wouldnt mind being pulled to check it was me in my car!

Dunno guess that was a bit of a dramatic reply

Spose just the thought that they have instant access to ALL ur details to do with EVERYTHING makes it feel a bit big brother's watching you!!

Plus the fact their actually being alot more picky now as like i said the car was legal and insured and how many ppl drive other ppls cars 3rd party these days?! prob millions!!

Even he said that it can be annoying as every car gets flagged up rather than ones that have something illegal about them they deff need 2 pull thou but they have to check things like that and shows their actually taking notice of everything as some prob would have just seen it was legal and not worried bout the driver!!

Havn't been put on her policy cos never thought about it tbh as i mainly drive mine but prob worth looking into, and ginge have u seen how much mk escort cabs can go for these days u cheeky bugger its worth enough that i wouldnt be happy if i wrote it off!!

its been like this for a few years now, all your details on their computer. nothing to be worried about unless you are dodgy and saves you the time of producing documents at police stations within 7 days if you do get stopped.
