I think I just rev'd my 3 Door to 9900rpm?
Just taken the 3 door our for an early morning run giving a bit of a thrashing around the country lanes, all ran well no probs runs lovely if not alittle rich and when a say alittle I mean alot
Anyways took it back into the garage and flicked through the SECS gauge peaks to find the peak reading on the rpm was 9900
My normal rpm gauge doesn't work (soon to be replaced) so I can't tell where about's in the journey it happened.
But surely this must be an error by the SECS gauge if I had of rev'd it that hard it would have blown up? And it still runs just fine.
Cheers Rich

You really are pretty close to me then! Have to catch up some time. Mines SORN'd until next month then I'll see how bad the turbo is - I think 32 psi has caught up with it!

My secs monitor did that too , exactly 9900rpm , was never sure if it was correct or not . i know i fucked up a gear change when it did it but thought the engine should have shat itself if it was true??
