seen that earlier on the bay
as long as its a good repair i dont see a problem
after all its meant to increase your performance not be a shiney bit under the bonnet

 

There were tonnes of RS500 8 Injector plenum covers damaged like this in the 90's. They all came out of Fords Dunton research centre. Damaged before being chucked but rescued from the scrap bin and repaired by various people.

 

even then surely the welds could be ground and polished out if needed
