Why do families try to make life harder than what it is?????????? Gonna have a rant cos im pissed off.

My parents divorced 22 years ago. Me dad remarried, me mum did not. Me sis has never seen me dad in 17 years (long story)

So tonight me mum and sis come round to see me daughter cos its her birthday tomorrrow. Me dad and his missus also turn up unannounced.

Me dads missus starts ranting and raving at me about how they they know where they stand and shit. I mean WTF?????????????? Why? Just all beacuse I wouldnt let then in my house cos me mum and sis was already here.

Was I wrong to turn em away???????????????

You were right to turn them away though, sounds like it would have been worse to let them in.

stand up an tell them what ure thinkin, dont accept getting pushed around and moaned at for them turning up unanounced, tell em if it were the other way about if they came first u wuld of turned ure sis an yer mum away, (assuming u wuld of) could of been a recipe for a fight and u dont want 5 or so adults arguing infront of your daughter in your home!!

2 people you have to think of there, your sis who has not seen her Dad for 17 years and who will be emotionally hurt and want questions answered (i'm assuming, cause we don't know what happened there) and your little girl. It's horrid growing up remebering that on that particular birthday some one was able to spoil it for her.

You were not in the wrong at all and if he is any kind of Dad and Grandad he would appologise for his and her behaviour.

Hope it didn't upset anyone too much and Happy Birthday to you Daughter.

The only real reason me sis dont have nothing to do with me dad, is because when he remarried she didnt want to see his wife. (she is a bitch the stepmum).
Me dads missus had argument saying she came as part of the package now and that me sis could not see my dad without her being there.
My dad said nothing, never stuck up for me sis, and the rest is history as they say. My dad is a weed tho to be honest
