The crowd are different because the car is now blocking the people that were in the first pic, if you look on the right, a big guy, dark green jacket with orange/black detailing on the side, he is still in the pic, but further down.
Pretty sure it aint a photoshop.

First, its not a guy, its a girl.
Second, she wasnt doing her job, she's an amateur.
Any professional photographer knows how to use an enough good lens in order to protect yourself at a reasonable distance.
What she did is just plain crazy.
And no,. shes not dead. She only ended up unconcious with a broken leg.
Beautifull the way the police cares about people, btw. Pushing violently people willing to help...
