Default Help cars not boosting properly

Well took my Escos out last night and........ I broke it

Basically I was giving it some stick, got to the top of 3rd gear, and when I changed gear it just didn't boost

So pulled over and no loose pipes or anything, so decided to take it home. It was idling at 2000rpm and when it started coming on boost it sounded like an Impreza.

Now today I've had it out drives fine, idle's fine ect.
But it'll only boost to 10psi then wont rev no higher and sounds like an Impreza until you lift off. Standing still you can rev it through the rev range.

Any ideas what it could be? Maybe a sensor?

make sure you fuel rail is tight and bolts are in propperly.......

if one has come lose it pushes the injector out when coming on boost and cause's these problems.......then when you lift off it seals again and picks back onto 4 pots...

Go look now...

no it wasnt that, I just found it amusing, although knowing Garys luck this year that would be a godsend. This one was just as easy a fix tho.

It was what i said a few posts up mate ........when he looked both bolts on the fuel rail were nearly out........nipped them back up and the car is running better than it has for a while......told him to put a drop of locktight on to keep them from coming lose again.......he thought the turbo was gone because of the smoke but was all down to the fuel rail lifting when on boost then resealing when lifting off and picking back up onto 4 pots...

Well I was just about to change the map sensor, and remembered Lawnsy saying check the bolts on fuel rail.
Turns out they'd practically fell out
