So, what should I be looking for in an HD telly? I am after somthing shit hot to play my PS3 on, and maybe sports etc. Looking for hopefully somthing around 46-50 inch?
Take it I want 1080p , 100Htz etc? Looking at Plasma at the moment, what is good for around £800-1200?

My opinion is everyones eyes are differenct get down to a good av specialist and try plenty out. I ended up with a panasonic after trying loads out with my ps3. Sound and Vision in farnworth have a proper testing rooms where you can play with any tv.

Perhaps not Stoo - Pioneer have just closed the TV side of thier business in order to concentrate more on the ICE side of things. I'd be expecting some good deals pretty soon for the run-out models.

The prices will not fall on them, if anything they'll go up due to everyone wanting to get a 9th gen KURO. The same thing happened with the 60GB PS3's, the second hand price of those rocketed after Sony stopped making them. But either way, production of KURO's won't stop untill March next year, they've just stopped research and development on their flat panels.

Didn't realise you were looking for one mate. I could have offered you a 43" 5th Gen Pioneer a few weeks ago..
I swear to god every time I turn my 9th Gen on my eyes have an orgasm!

At that size definately get a plasma
Panasonic would be the best for your budget or save a bit more and get the pioneer for around £1700
I got the pioneer 5090 a few weeks back and you really cant buy better
