my normal wage is 310 a week take home about 62a day i worked over time at 15pound a hour sat and sun last week i took home 399 works out about 45 a day 4 sat and sun less than my normal working week day at 62quid keeping in mind it,s time andhalf on weekend ...wot the fuk i,m on tax code 603L this cant be right surly i paid 58quid ni and 182 tax can sum1 help us out cas i,m useless at these things but it cant be right i worked weekends befor and taken home 479 so wots happened,,,,,i,m well pissed off,,,

 

I had about Ł70 more this month before tax etc and only took home a extra Ł12

603 is the ammount you can earn before tax. ie 6030 divided by 52 weeks,is the ammount each wk that you dont pay tax on.all earnings over that,you will pay around 20% of it in tax.

 

How many hours each day did you work?
Does it show on you slip exactly what hours you've been paid for? you may not have been paid for one of the days.
What day is the end of your pay week, Saturday maybe?
Have you asked whoever pays your wages if it's correct?

yes my hours are there all correct normally u work weekends get it the next friday secertary was not there when we got back so could not ask her its doing my head in..cant be possiable i earn 12pounds less at time and half than a normal days pay

 

Did you work the same amount of hours on sat and sunday as you did in the week?

 

When I used to do overtime, 1 a week, it worked out it just wasn't working it as I went over an earning threshold which meant I got taxed more.

 

i get leathered with tax at weekends so if its not cash in hand i usually dont bother

 

Does it not depend on the cut off date for your wages (unsure how paid weekly works) could they have carried some overtime over to your next payment?
