Default Trolley jacks..

Hi all! Right need a new trolly jack, been looking at the aluminum clarke one, any comments? Any recommendations? And where to get one from? Ideally want a good one under 100 quid. With a twist release. Any advice? Many thanks Adam. Ps can a mod change title spelling please as i cant edit it as using my mobile!

I have one of the ones you mention, only gripe is the rubber pad is crap, soon breaks up, so I use old bit of car tyre cut up on it.
Is nice and light easy to lift, height is not the best so may need a bigger one as well.

Ideal if you have a very low car or low skirts, Found that you have to keep an eye on the bolts etc as they work loose, loctite should sort this

I had the 1.5T aluminium Clarke one and it was utter rubbish! One of the wheels bent jacking up a xr2i! The ones costco sell look much better for around the same money too

I've lifted a range rover with my clarke one, a few times nothing broke on mine, maybe you had a dodgy one.

I didn't bother with an Aluminium one, just for home i got one of the 2ton heavy duty Clarke ones with twist handle etc, is big, heavy but has good clearance, good lift and works really well. Only cost about £50.

i've got one of the arcam 2 ton aluminium jacks that cost co sell much better than the clark one just make sure you get the one with 2 wheels on the front as it's stronger than the one with the single roller wheel, an get these on ebay for around a £10 premium on the costco price

I got a 2.25 ton one from Motorworld a while back, it was less than £50 I think. It's an excellent jack but bloody heavy if you've got to lift it.
