Default it's official, the goverment is mad

my wife has been off on maternity leave for the last 7 months

but we recive child tax credits because junior was at private nursery

now she's gone back to work they have stopped because she's only gone back part time and doesn't work enough hours to get them

but she can carry on not working at all and still get maternity pay AND the tax credits

no wonder you've got so many coonts sitting on their arses on leather sofa's watching jeremy kyle on 50 inch plasmas and popping kids out left right and centre, what's the point of going back to work if someone esle is going to pick up all the costs

and before anyone says it, no, it's not the money, or the amount we were going to get or did get or didn't get, £21 a month doesn't really figure into it when you are spending £500

but, and this is the kicker, if she goes back to work at the START of the lunch break, she then goes to work for long enough to be able to get the money, even though she's not actually doing any work it's a fucking joke

but if she goes back to work for more than 16 hours she's going to be into the lunch hour

school starts at 9 in the morning til 12, then 1 til 3.30

as she's going back part time she can't do any more hours than those 15 in the morning or 12.5 in the afternoons

so she's going to go to work and have a lunch break

And if it is under 16 hours a week you only get to take home £20 per week, the rest goes to the tax credits people, is that correct?

I know exactly what you mean, Its full time or its not worth doing at all, but whos gonna look after the kids, Its obvious why some people have so many kids and the farther dont work either and still have eveything paid for them and a brand new car sat on the drive!

they could have told us this when we rang up before to ask what was going to happen

but no, "you have to have all the details to give to us and then we will put them into the computer"

so i got all the payslips, all the hours, all the costs, all the income, all the numbers i needed and the childminder ofsted certification etc that i needed, only to be told this crap

ok, so we don't really benifit from it a huge amount, £20 isn't really going to break the bank for us, but i can see where it would be a struggle for those in a less fortunate position than ourselves

maybe i should have gone to india, got married to some bush bitch, had a few kids and then bought them over ehre, i'd have a house and a car and everything paid for, what a fool i have been
