Someone end the dispute.............
seen few posts now with no real end to the question......
running low comp, greys etc at 28psi on t34 is there any noticable diff from 2wd ex manifold to 2wd manifold??
ie if i was running above on 4wd manifold would i gain by changing?? thanks to those who have had input but there is a big divide and wondered if anyone has catogoric proof one is better than the other at this kinda spec!
Discuss, argue and lets see a result !!

Just like you can get 400bhp out of a T3/4, you can squeeze over 400bhp out of a 4x4 exhaust manifold / 2wd inlet manifold. The problem is, that like the turbo, the manifold (4x4 exhaust AND 2wd inlet) is not the most efficient at this level.
Running a T3/4, I doubt you would be able to get to the restriction point of the 4x4 exhaust manifold (which is around the mid 400 area). The smaller bore of the 4x4 item will pick up the gas speed and give it a bit better mid-range, so depends on what you are wanting to achieve power wise. If you want something with the best efficiency using standard parts, you want a 2wd exhaust manifold and the EECIV inlet plenum (the 2wd inlet is past it's best at 430bhp). These items will flow up to 500bhp no problem.

Dont forget, changing ANYTHING on the car that affects airflow through the engine
will require a remap to get the best out of it or prevent a meltdown
I use a 4x4 ex manifold because its slightly less laggy and only run 437 bhp which
is about the limit of this manifold.
Also, its more compact and kinder to the exhaust head studs from my experience.
