When I saw the title I thought you were gonna tell us it was in the new fast and furious movie...

That should fetch pretty big money surely??

Cheers,

If you care much about the looks rather than the performance or heritage, then you will obviously never own one, as those are the things that dictate the price not the looks IMHO

How many of the RS 200 is there meant to be left these days?

I know there is some kit ones driving about with the cossy engine in them.

Also how many were every produced, did they every actually make the whole 200? and how many of these were the evo edition?

Thats been for sale for years at the Imperial in Vegas. Great collection of cars there. They had 3 RS200's last time I went and 2 Metro 6R4's.

But they are nothing compared to some of the older stuff they have on display and sale.

Sadly June is a fairly busy month for me, but I'll see what I can do, do you know what dates you are going out there yet?

Anywhere between the 16th and 26th June. Only going for 3 or 4 days though as I would be bankrupt if I stayed for 10.

agreed! some really cool cars there! they had the original Eleanor on show when I was last there - stunning car - along with the old presidential lincolns - just not something you would expect to see when you get out of the lift on the 5th floor

That wont be happening this time though, now my income in a month is what it used to be in a week

The latter half of June shouldnt be a problem, its the first half Im particuarly busy, so sounds like a good plan to me mate

12/12/2003 - I found this car whilst surfing the internet looking for a RS200 to buy for myself.
The link I found was http://www.autocollections.com/moreinfo.cfm?key=1152
I have saved the images in case the link above dies in the future.
Click on images below to bring up larger sizes...
Quoted from their website, " 1986 FORD RS200 EVOLUTION ID# SFACXXBJ2CGL00084 FORD RS200 EVOLUTION. #084 CAR. 2.1 LITER COSWORTH SINGLE TURBO. 600+ HP. ONE OF 24 EVER MADE. THIS CAR IS FACTORY ORIGINAL AND HAS BEEN DRIVEN VERY LITTLE SINCE NEW. THE RS200 WAS BANNED FROM RALLY COMPETITION IN EUROPE IN THE LATE EIGHTIES BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO FAST AND CONSEQUENTLY BELIEVED TO BE TOO DANGEROUS. RECENTLY THE FIA HAS LIFTED THE BAN ON THESE CARS TO COMPETE IN THE "VINTAGE" RALLIES BEFORE ALL OF THE EVENTS ON THIS SEASON'S EUROPEAN RALLY SCHEDULE BECAUSE OF THEIR POPULARITY THROUGHOUT THE WORLD. EUROPEANS ARE FRANTICLY TRYING TO FIND THESE CARS AND THIS IS AN UNMOLESTED EXAMPLE OF THE REAL THING. TWO POINT ONE SECONDS, THAT'S 2.1 SECONDS, A LITTLE OVER TWO SECONDS. LESS THAN THREE SECONDS. IN THE TIME IT'S TAKEN YOU TO READ THIS, A FORD RS200 EVO CAN REACH 60MPH! FOUR WHEEL DRIVE AND 650BHP FROM A MERE 2.1 LITRE ENGINE MADE FORD'S RALLY CAR AN INSTANT LEGEND WHICH FEW CARS HAVE COME CLOSE TO CATCHING. "
If you find any further info on this vehicle please email me on justin@rs200.org
April 20th 2004 - Sadly it appears the owner of this car, and indeed the whole collection ( www.blackhawkcollection.com ), Tom Barrett III has passed away, our thoughts are with his family.
June 2004 - I was sent a list of the original 20 EVOLUTION cars that were created by Ford.
This vehicle was destined to be chassis 214 but after returning was given chassis 084.
July 2004 - This is up for auction in the US on 11th - 15th August 2004, see info.
November 2004 - I have been given information that somebody on the email address dadularach@msn.com is trying to pretend that they own this car and that it is up for sale for Ł9000. - Yeah right ! - The car is still for sale and buyers are to contact cclarke@blackhawkcollection.com should you have $295,000 which is more like the real value !
I have been sent an image of #084 from someone whose father saw the car while on vacation in Las Vegas.
May 2005 - And another great image from Angus returning from his holidays ...
March 2007 - This car is still available http://www.autocollections.com/index.cfm?action=inventory&tab=inventory
If you have any more info then please contact me justin@rs200.org
Thanks,
Justin Smith

Well you'd know that Mr Barratt owned the car after Mr Lippman untill his death in 2004 where the car has then been repeatedly up for sale and displayed at various venues in the US

sorry, but to read the correct infos, look at www.rs200.com and read the ford new letter from 1987 to 1989. thses new letter are OFFICIAL Ford and the truth come from the factory, not from gossip or rumours.
The book is based from theses official Ford New Letter and everybody who have a real honest interest in the RS200 should wonder why some website make false claims for Rs200.
The truth come from the factory...
It look like that some people use today falses registrations plate on replica cars...
