EGT Sensor Placement?
I'm fitting a Defi EGT guage and I wondering where is the best place to mount the sensor?

Well you have a couple of potential options, the first is in the manifold just before the turbo, and the second is in the downpipe just after the turbo.
The problem with before the turbo is if the sensor snaps off (sadly it can and does happen sometimes) it will be going through your exhaust blades.
The problem with after the turbo is the reading will be a little low as the exhaust gas will cool as it goes through the turbo.
Personally, Id put it after the turbo, and just add 100 degrees C on to the figure to represent manifold temps.

If your results are under 800 degrees, then thats a good sign IMHO, but obviously talk to your tuner about what he wants to see there.

I'm going down the anti lag route so I thought an EGT would be a good idea.
