Obviously same rules apply, must have 1.6mm minimum tread depth and considering they only start out with 4-5mm, you don't get much out of them on the road.

Seriously shady in damp/wet conditions too.

Ask Kelv and his good lady how my supercharged focus was driving back from Martoons one afternoon on the M25 in standing water!

2800rpm, in 6th, in vacuum (no boost) doing 60mph and i was using at least 2 lanes! Was like driving on sheet ice in a strong wind!

That was 3 up on month old 888s

However - they were UTTERLY awesome for everything else!!!

I drove them a lot in the wet and think they are not bad at all, only standing water you must avoid but damp and wet roads are no problem imo

TOTALLY untrue. They are AMAZING in the damp!!! far far far better than any fully treaded normal road tyre in my experience!!!

Its ONLY when you have large amounts of standing water that you need to be careful with them

I was chatting to a guy today mapping his 205 GTI turbo technics(original)track car as he had these and was saying he fids them ace in the dry and still pretty good in the wet, they were 195/50X15, he did say they wore bloody quick though.

They do them in that size but the prices have changed recently, best of ringing Martin Hadland.

RSCossieGaz, dont think they do a 215/40/17 but you probably dont want that size anyway. The 888 are.....bigger than normal tyres.
The 205/40ZR17 888's are 212mm wide, which is pretty close to a normal 215 tyre.

Again i would ask Martin as he wil know what will fit on a cossie in terms of wheel size/offset and arch clearance.
