Reason for paint is some stone chips and some panels have been painted before. The spoilers and front bumper need attention. I would strip the car i.e panels and windows and it would need NO welding.

It's going to be a road car, BUT will be 2wd so will be hung out everywhere still.

My mate who painted the 3dr is coming round tommorrow to price it up. But i want it done soon and not sure what time he has at the mo.

There seems crazy variations in price

My last puma was sprayed inside out as a bare shell including custom paintwork for Ł2k ex vat and i thought that was pricey because of the custom work!!

How much better are these "chip resistant" laquers and how much more would that add to a respray cost?? im thinking of getting my puma in same blue/silver again but would like decent laquer as ford imperial blue paint seems prone to chipping.

dosent need to pay the fees benni ,

they wont bring him any real advantage , he dosent have to pay fees on any other forum,

the quality of the work does the talking ,

and coupled with the 13 month waiting list of people waiting to get work done ,

id say hes got more than enough lol ,

still always room for more work , plenty of rotten fords ha ha .,

bigger premises me thinks ,

Yep thats spot on advice, ive learnt that the hard way on both my Series 1 and the Saff. Trouble is you DA the paint back to remove chips and to key it up, cars like the RS`s have proberly been painted a few times, with all sorts of shite paint, you prime the car and paint it, then before you know it the new paint has started sinking back because of the shite underneith the primer.

Jacko what paint do you use, take it your on Waterbase?

How many litres do you have to buy at a time before you can class it as comerical painting?
