Your best bet is to log onto the RSOC forum & go into the Focus RS Mk1 section & have a look through the posts from the last 2 to 3 months on there as that should give you an idea

Absolutely BRILLIANT day to day. Bought mine in nov and done maybe 2650 miles.

All i've done is replace a Ł1 gasket inside the thermostat which is a common failure.

55 litre tank, usually Ł48/49 to fill and last tank was 268 miles, most i've seen yet.

Mongoose, decat, dream science, bailey d/valve, dont know bhp but 212 standard so 250 wouldnt be unreasonable?!

They look great, are fast, handle like a dream, sound great, cheap enough to run and the brakes are really good.

Sorted!

FRS is fcuking awesome!
Dont use mine everyday but when i do i use it properly, pretty heavy on the old jungle juice and tyres but the handling is amazing and the brakes pull your face off.
Mine is standard appart from braking upgrades, stainless braided lines grooved discs and ferrodo ds2500 pads.
Oh and a scangauge! (first thing to buy!)

erm you say the braking is aweosme yet tell us you've upgraded?

For anyone that doesnt know...scangauge is something that plugs into the diagnostic port and gives varying info from water temp, boost, etc etc

FRS doesnt have a water temp gauge as standard!

buy mine

i have another motor lined up

as said, awesome cars, everything the escort/fiesta RST lacked the FRS has decent brakes, leather, aircon, power steering etc...
we're going to stick to 'normal' cars for a year or so, then we'll probably get another FRS, maybe one of the new ones

Sorry, i shall start again.

The brakes are very good as standard as is the rest of the car, but as with other people on here you may want to improve on the standard, as i did, so i have fitted grooved discs, better pads and braided brake lines and in my opinion it now stops better.

Any better?
