4x4 thermostat & housing queries.
Hi guys,
I have a few queries about my 4x4 stat and housing. I bought a stat off of matt lewis on ebay & came to fit it last night and have a few things bothering me.
1st is that the stat has a tiny brass tube with a ball bearing in it, this fouls on the thermostat housing (I have a spare housing so notched out the offending section).
2nd is that once fitted (to the spare housing) the front cover of the thermostat housing sits off about 1mm when fully tightened.
Does any of this sound daft to you guys, surely I must have had the wrong stat or something along them lines. It is definitely a stat with a black rubber ring around the edge and IIRC these are only 4x4 ones.
