Default intercooler help..pic

hi all, what do you think has caused this on my tdci intercooler im thinking its not holding the pressure and this is why aim struggling for performance iv also got a very high pitched squeal but thought that was maybe the manifold gasket as it only squeals once its got hot after around 5 or 10 mins , ive covered over 600 miles on a new turbo, the squeal is very hard to track down were its comming from

looks like the clips were not done up tight enough to me!its it a siren type noise?

purely a guess, but, old turbo was fooked hence leaving oil in you intake system, the hose on the inlet to the intecooler was not sealed correctly and join between core/outlet piece has a split in it.

proberly way off the mark, lol

best bet is to get you intercooler pressure tested

hi the clips were tight enuff as you have to be carefull with plastic intercoolers , if you over tighten it snaps the plastic but will ensure there correct mate

spent alot of time on getting the old oil out b4 fitting new turbo but i do think its possibly a fooked core

im guessing its an 1800 tdci? regards to squeal id advise to take aux belt off see if it goes,could be water pump or tensioner possibly

all tensioners are new with cambelt and the squeal is deff comming from the right hand side and all belts are on left hand side, i can get a new intercooler for around 120quid or second hand off flea bay for 65 quid

Any radiator place should be able to pressure test that for you. Might cost you a drink, but it'd be worth it to find out if it is fooked or not?

looks like your intercooler is leaking where the core meets your headers , i would take it to a radiator repair specialist they should be able to sort it .
