Rather than start a thread about it on here; i would try phoning MSD back and ask to speak to one of the head honcho's
if you dont get no joy then its up to you
MSD are normally spot on

Not really mate, if you knew how many threads come about on here slagging off tuners that invaribly turn out to be a load of rubbish you'd realise why you got the responses you did! A thread moaning about poor service form someone who comes on here is pretty pointless without naming them, people are obviously going to point fingers or do you not agree? To be fair when i get service like that from anyone i'd be asking to speak to someone 'higher up the pecking order' to try and sort it out......unfortunately there are some companies out there who find it acceptable to offer the kind of 'aftersales' service you say you recieved.

I will take the heat for this one I reckon as I'm going to guess you were the guy asking questions about how to fit an ITP048 fuel pump this morning and complaining that there were no instructions with it?
I advised fuel pumps didn't come with DIY instructions and to see a mechanic if your not sure as fuel systems are dangerous. You told me it was fitted by an auto electrician and I advised that he was not really a mechanic who would understand fuel systems.
You asked what the pipe and clips were for and I told you they were to connect the pump to the sender in exactly the same way the original was, and you told me you had already finished the job and the original didn't use clips so you hadn't either.
You also wanted to know why it came with an electrical connector that fits the pump with two wires coming out of it. I advised you use a nice new connector on your new pump as your old one will be 15+ years old. Yo told me you shoved the old connectors on as they seemed to fit.
I may well have been short and I do have a reason but I wont bore you with it as there is no excuse for being short with customer's but if it is you, I just couldn't see why you would mess with a fuel system if you weren't confident because this is possibly the easiest fuel pump to fit on any car and getting things like this wrong can not only melt engines but also set fire to cars.
Apologies mate, if you Pm me your number I will call you and apologise in person.

I'm Will, Workshop Manager @ Motorsport Developments, I personally spanner on jobs like that when they come into the workshop and will explain why we no longer offer a fitting service.
The age of the cars in the RS scene is against them now in all honesty, sometimes you get a car that is clean and solid, other times you get some that look like they've been kept in the sea!
As such, after we experienced a run of cars that caused huge amounts of grief (bolts shearing, straps snapping, sealing rings breaking up etc.) we revoked our fuel pump fitting service on in-tank pumps.
Hope that clears things up for you.

kenny is generally the better one on speaking terms with customers, stu seems to come across blunt/unbothered in hes tone when he speaks to people at time,, but honestly its the way he talks, hes a shy person/distant with people as in hes nature,,, it comes across wrong but as i proved to xrt-si, once he relaxes with you he seems to feel less cold
he was like that with me when i first spoken to him years ago,, he was giving me advice about taking off a anti roll bar,, he was helping me but hes tone sounded different, he would never make it as a job of estate agent or car salesman but hes not got any malice when he talks

You think even the most numpty mechanic in the world, in a shit filled back street garage, gets to work on pristine cars?
