I wasnt in it for a mega long time, but didnt notice them being uncomfy.
Wasnt really taking a huge amount of notice though if that makes sense?
You could probably fit your sliders onto the bottom of them, so they can still be move forward enough for spikey etc, and it would have the effect of raising them up to.
Or ask them if they do a specific slider designed for them?

not sure what to say to those comments
few points though, i normally only ask "close" mates if i can have a go of their cars,
i really cant afford to fix the westy, if i broke it
which is partly why i wouldnt ask to drive the westie.
i really appreciate the thought of letting me drive it
i'd let you have a go of the pug but the seat is only about an inch from the steering wheel.
i would offer passenger ride, but i just dont think you'll find it "that" quick after being the cars you have/driven
i'll take anyone out, but people dont seem to come over and ask, "can i come out" i've not refused anyone a ride, i only had 2 people at bedford come out, Rob with the astra and a guy on here i have never spoken too
i normally get people saying they'd like to come out before the day, then dont ask during the day, then afterwards say, DOH i never got a ride
sorry for going off topic a little was just a little suprised about the coments above

Spikey, I've had a ride in your car too (at combe, your exhaust fell off, lol), it was good fun, I'd recomend it to anyone.
I totally agree with you about the "cant afford to fix it" side of things too, thats why I refused Lee's incredibally kind offer to take out the porsche or sierra on track, fixing the westy is just about in my budget though so I loved taking that out on track
Mind you, with its current lack of protection, a decent accident in the westy at the moment would see him seeking payment from my estate off the solicitor handling my will anyway not from me directly, hence I drove it like a bit of a girl anyway

I'd trust Chip with my car but his suggestion of me sitting in the passenger seat whilst he drove made my blood run cold. I hated the feeling of being a passenger in a 150Bhp Westy let alone one with getting on double that.

One minute you were really intrigued about how values were changing for intake temp etc under load, then when I said "have a watch on my laptop while I drive if you like" suddenly it wasnt interesting anymore and you looked like you had seen a ghost.
Was only on a motorway in a straight line too

yeah, sorry for the waffle, jsut wanted to explain my reasoning.
i love the westie and the way it's fast down the straight and also handles VERY VERY well, slightly jealous of the fact you have best of both worlds
maybe i'll ask next time..lol
yeah, did see you try and get it..lol, maybe i'll move the seat for you next time
so apart from brakes, and brake lines what else you doing ?

Its not a cossie, dont let doug stirling hear you call it one, its a replica.
Ali, Rich misheard me, he thought the rules were:
1) you bend it you mend it
2) you drive it like you have nicked it
He stuck to both rules

just a quick input about those seats in the pic, im pretty sure they need to be solid mounted with the backs against a bulkhead etc, as they are not strong enough in the event of a crash if unsupported.
i was looking into getting some a few years ago for the 3dr, but they wouldnt sell them to me as the car doesnt have any support behind the seat lol
dont think it was the company mentioned either

The latter style thats made from two shell stuck together is a standalone seat of sufficient stiffness to be used with runners afaik
