M3 SMG and MANUAL
is there a difference in performance? i test drove 2 the other day and the manual felt noticeably faster?? the boy said he thinks it had been mapped??? is the manual a sfae bet to buy over the SMG?

SMG will be faster as it can change gear fast than the human hand. Maybe the SMG car had a fault somewhere, theres a lot of difference depending on how a car has been run in or used generally.
It's worth pointing out though that SMG is still fundamentally the same box just with actuators on the selector and clutch.
As for which is best, your drivng style will depend that. And it's established that SMg can be "fun" when trying to park.

You could not give me a manual over my SMG, much much faster I might add as well, the hand simply cannot change gear as fast as a SMG in say even "ferocity #5" ,turn the traction control of and you get a SIXTH setting which IMO you simply dont need,,purely for track I would say and about 3-4 times faster changing speed on numbers 5-6.
Sooo much fun as well i might add, a friend had a manual hardtop and admitted my SMG convertible!!!! was much much faster.
