Short of someone stood there with a police speed gun, im sure thats enough for a light hearted comparison on a forum, dont think anyone is claiming their data should be admissable in a court of law etc

Good think is, on your car it should be very easy to get more power from it as its currently in such a low state of tune

Yer i was there m8 , but after finding out they wanted £25 a head for us to be aloud over to the pits area we decided to just stand an watch from the side lines ... Did look a really nice track from what we could see plenty of run off areas etc just not ideal for spectators like...

Should have paid the 25 quid mate, was good socially in the pits, and you probably could have blagged a couple of passenger rides off people.

Lol I think even with you saying it needs more boost it would scare the hell of me at the min lol

There were 4 of us so £100 seemed rather steep at the time .. Still we enjoyed watching everyone going round an apart from the wind the weather was pretty gd... i always go home from these days thinking i want a track car, an end up scouring ebay etc if i only i had the spare pennys lol..

You pedalled it well mate

Enjoyed the few laps i had out in it with you

A small glimpse of the conversation as we were waiting to be waved onto track:

(Me) "So Mike, how many times you been round here in one of these?"
(You) "This is my first."
(Me) "Oh."

Do you mean the grey one on KWs and APs all round? I too had a great last two sessions battling him, it was pretty much perfectly matched the whole time. He was surprised at what the FRS could do and did also comment on your Pug!

I was reaching around 135 on the speedo down the back straight but I'll be fucked if I was looking at my speedo through the chicane! Was half way through forth gear so I'm accurately guessing anywhere between 70 and 100. lol

Apart from fucking my APs up and nearly having the front n/s hub assembly complete with wheel etc fall off on the way home I had an awesome day, best track day in years.

I felt a bit sorry for the other westy fella, I genuinely think he really did believe he knew about YB engines, but he kind of picked the wrong bunch of people to talk to about it when he actually didnt

Trying to tell Porkie he needed a swedish plenum - that was priceless.

Almost as good as his '8 maxed out 440cc injectors'.

Oh, and his "i'm only on some cheap shit tyres, don't want to trash a lot of moneys worth" on his Yoko Paradas which were at least £100 a set dearer...

To be fair though, at a high level (ie in terms of the spec not the utter nitty gritty) I think you probably underestimate your knowledge of the YB, I bet its in the top 1% of people on this forum, you certainly have a metric fuckload more experience of different specs of YB than most people, as you really have owned or driven EVERY spec of YB trackday engine that exists more or less!

is it just the 309 rear beam that makes your wheels stick out so much further at the back spiky? looks a very good stance now!

We ended up bartering for 2 cars on one disc as he only had 5 pics of my car also.
Friend had a good 20 of his MR2 so we haggled for those to be combined on one disc for £30.

Good quality pics though mind!
