Dont get me wrong, everybody talks tough but youre either an animal fanatic or a born again dog lover. In reality, we all take dogs for granted, the puppy thing brings out the 'humanity' in us because they are small and helpless? Dont see that many people watching these programs at the dog pound, or willing to take some old boy on who pisses every time hes touched. this was news 20 years ago, its not the breeders who let the dogs down, its us who buy them and keep them in buisness and want to watch them at Cruffs even though most breeds are massively defored and even though they stick within the Kennel Clubs specs, are far removed from there original morphology and purpose. A dog is mans best friend, just needs to be treated like that and not told to get of the three-piece and not scavenge the kitchen, its a fookin dog, i.e. an animal. why not treat it like that and care for it appropiatley, just simple, food, bed, exercise etc... and stop treating it like a surrogate child, partner, ex......

You've got some valid points which I agree with, however I don't agree with the last bit.

All animals are what you make them, they can be ferocious guard dogs, working dogs or loving pets. That's the brilliant thing about animals, plus they have qualities that humans can only dream of having.

All animals are a reflection of what we show them, not a big animal thing, but do you trust your dog with a baby?

Having one, personally i wouldn't, its an animal, full stop...

At the end of the day, we cant expect animals to be people, thats the beauty of them; they are there when youre down and happy.....

But they are still animals...........

Thats why we value things that we can rely on, like cars, well not mine.........

Never put that requirement on any animal, it is an animal and not a car or another human being and how human are we to each other anyway, let alone our 'animals'.

Thought this was about cars anyway, like I said, you may buy one puppy, kitten, bear and know youre giving at a good home, but what happens to tghe rest of the litter?
