How tight can you do V-Band Clamps?? I'm scared of breaking them, but want to make sure they are tight enough!!

I figured you would know Steve as I would imagine the Skyline boys use them.

the turbo-downpipe and manifold-wastegate-screamer connections are V-bands, but as its not done yet, ive no clue

and as 99% of skyline peeps are chequebook racer rich boys i doubt many others know either

but i gotta speak to bloke about my engine 2nite so il try find out for you...

proper v band clamps usually have the torque figure stamped on it.

Christian they are very robust think more about the potential damage to the Flange etc your mating together as a result of over tightning.
