Default Vista question....How do i get the desktop features on the right side back??

For some reason they have dissapeared.....like the weather and the moniter things....

How do i get them back?

it's called windows sidebar iirc...
you can either go to control panel and check the checkbox for it to load when windows starts, run it from accessories, or run it from help (search on sidebar)

You may have an icon in the bottom right corner that you can right click on to bring it back, depending on how you closed it.

you mean the sidebar?

just click ont he desktop and there should be an option to bring it to the front or auto close it or something

You should be using xp but hey ho

Anyways try right clicking on the desktop and see if you get any options to turn on sidebar? i forget how to do it now as im not running vista any more

If i told you my pc spec you'd be sat there thinking "what the feck is he on about" trust me

I dont use vista down to choice, i find xp does every thing i need, and all my hardware works with it.

Some people get on fine with it, depends what stuff you run on the pc, not just the speed of it

Ms knows this, so its a complete rethink for windows 2008 eg windows 7

I have to say weve had no issues with our vista bar 1 ages ago, its been fine for us

and now have a nice functioning toolbar with loads of new funky stuff

I have Vista on My Main PC, which i use to steam stuff through a media centre. And i have Vista on both my laptops................

Never had a problem..............

I think its a Marmite thing
